French fighters haven't integrated into the UFC very well. The only French nationalist I can think of is Jess Lliadiun (sp).. "the Joker," and he got KTFO by Marcus Davis.
The French used to really love Hollywood. Andre Bazin made numerous writings about the American Western, cowboys and Hollywood cinema. After the Lumiere brothers made the first film in 1891 (?) American and France (and Europe) have always had cinema to fall back on.
They fucking loved Hollywood; now I imagine they like whatever is edgy and independent. Michael Moore was a big splash if that's any indication. Also, obviously they hold Quinton Tarantino and probably Marty in high regard.
The French love Jazz; they love American black music. I'm not sure about other genres of American music (outside of orchestral) that really are a huge splash there. Certain hip hop, obviously... there's some really tight French Hip Hop.. the French dialect sounds really nice over hip hop music.
I'd love to hear some recommendations if anybody knows of any tight French stuff...
