Well ryu, its an empty gesture to you. To many its not. However the lack of education in schools has nothing to do with whether they pledge or not. Schools are shitty for a number of resons. Reference all the news lately about students beating teachers/ trying to rape them etc . Trying to teach students respect is not one of them.
