Shia militias (hezballah) stormed beirut. They have been able to push the sunni's around, but the christian militas will be able to stand up to them. Usually things look worse than they actually are in Lebanon, but from what I have read it is way worse than it looks in Lebanon right now and people are preparing for another civil war.
If someone with leverage on Iran steps in it may be possible to push hezballah back, but it looks really bleak right now.
