I wouldn't use BA pre-workout because it ultimately activates inhibitory neurotransmitter receptors (GABA). This at least has a mild sedative effect (I'm currently analyzing the potential effects on central drive/strength/fatigue).
I also have an hypothesis that post-workout supplementation will facilitate greater muscle uptake of the loading supplements. It should be emphasized that there are no data directly supporting this for BA.
I'd rather not say too much about either of these ideas until I develop them a little (or A LOT) more.
