he fled to canada... that is deserting. question the war all you want, disagree with it all you want... i do! i sure as hell don't want to go back but i signed a contract and i intend to honor it... do i always agree with our government? no. BUT we take an oath to defend this country from all enemies foreign and domestic AND to obey the lawful orders of those appointed over us... thats the agreement you make when you sign on the dotted line... you go to war when your country says to, not when you think its ok. this man is a coward. he should be killed, i would pull the trigger myself with a smile... why? because he isn't helping his "brothers" survive over there...he isn't helping us by lying to the media, telling them we are ordered to kill civilians for "being in the area" how could he help? he could do his fair share and go on his second tour so that some poor specialist who loves his country isn't taken away from his family on an unexpected deployment to fill a spot left by a cowardly deserter...
