Lesnar, Roger & Kimbo

It seems to me like even in a drastically evolved sport like mma, history may be repeating itself. The perhaps soon to be most popular fighters of today, Brock Lesnar, Kimbo Slice, and Roger Gracie, always seem to remind me of Mark Coleman, Tank and Royce. We have the 1 dimensional juggernaut wrestler in brock lesnar, the polished street fighter in Kimbo, and the skinny, single-martial-art expert (a.k.a gracie) in roger gracie. Despite these guys lack of skill as complete mixed martial artists, they have been marquis attractions from thier first fights.Personally i think their popularity is healthy for the sport, and their current 1 dimensionality, to me, makes it more intriguing to watch them.

THe mma corporations obviously view them as the next generation of the 90's superstars and, hence the fights against thier 90's equivalents(ex. tank Vs. kimbo, or coleman vs. lesnar). even if these guys are not be the best example of complete mma, i think they are just as fun to watch as the more multi dimensional superstars like gsp, Anderson Silva, and fedor.
