Give Iron Man time to settle. It's still a victim of much hype and other things. You can't trust IMDB out of the gate, because of all the bull shit sfx lovers that will see anything w/ an actor they know and a good bit of sfx and explosions. IMDB is most reliable when a movie hits it's dvd release. At it's dvd release you can see what the better average has said. The thing about IMDB also is that YOU MUST VOTE. When people say IMDB is a shitty site that doesn't represent true views I say, "Fuck you!" if 18,000 people voted on it than you're the one that's full of shit. I vote there. I may not agree w/ it all, but I vote.
