I do not think we need to take oil our cars are dino's waiting for someone to put them in the trash heap. With technology we could have cars that have 200 plus mile per hour top speed cost less then 50 cents per hundred miles to run and could have a life expectancy of 15 years. Yet we continue to pour good money into bad 100 year old technology remember the combustion engine is at least 100 years old.
We as a Country who has prided our selfs as world leaders in technology we again need to set our goals higher then ever before to set an example to the rest of the world that we can lead again. Continuing to be dependent on old obsolete technology has made us weak and unable to take control of our own destiny. We need not take anything from anyone we need to lead the rest of the world and they will buy from us then we will show who is running the show again.
This is an electric car I bet you may have seen it this is just a small under financed effort by a small company yet it is not a bad car the Tesla. Now think of a car with the vast resources of our best scientist and engineers working on a well financed goal of developing the next generation of auto and watch what we as Americans can do. We need a project that is a mandate by the Government and even if it is a world car with other Countries being a part of it like England, Germany, France it will set these Countries in the right direction as well as our future.
