How in God's name is McCain at fault for not fixing the emotional shortcomings of these people?
Most homeless people are mentally handicapped and/or drug/alcohol abusers.
The military is not to blame, the politicians are not to blame, and the inherent role of a standing military is not to blame either.
The only people to blame are the homeless who turn down all of the available help that is offered to them.
You guys honestly think the military doesn't provide for these guys?
LOL
What a bunch of idiots...Seriously...You're all idiots...

Sadly, you are the idiot - its tragic that you realize that many vets are disabled but don't realize that company's offer great disability packages to their employees should they become disabled. Most veterans live on the edge of poverty by paying over 50% of their income for their homes, rent or mortgage.
The problem is not just because of drugs or PTSD. All of the information that I am giving you comes from the VA, (veteran affairs) - so dont' fucking bullshit me about this stuff, its coming from people older and more battle tested then yourself.
Why is McCain to blame? I'm not blaming him, I'm just sad he hasn't done more - in the past years the story is still the same - vets are 1/4 of the homeless population - McCain being a fellow veteran has nothing to show for this. If I were in a position like his it would be my #1 priority. A man of his age, his level of influence - its just sad. Its slated a good chunk of veterans returning from Iraq are soon to be homeless, maybe not in the first year but eventually. To me that is a sad statistic.
When you guys say these instances are self inflicted, 75% of the military are well educated people (above average) the numbers are just sad, the way we treat those people who are "protecting our freedom"
That is my point.
