I agree in part. I knew a lot of people who were lazy and dumb in the military. Many failed because they couldn't cut it. Some made it through and barely kept their heads above water, and I question what they'd be doing in the civilian world. I think one of the problems is that the military has an immense support structure. People tell you where to go, what to do, etc. If you lack that ability to take care of youself, and have PTSD to top it off, you could be in a really rough spot once you get out.
