Gotta give props to my stablemate Chris Eubank Jr. Very few "Sons of" go about things in a patient way. They tend to want to get in there and prove themselves, they tend to get fed to the wolves far too soon despite any talent (much like Chad Ganigan). But Chris despite being 19 and in good physical condition has decided to go as far as he can in the Amateurs before going Pro. He says he wants to change the perception of the "Son of" curse.
He's won the Nevada GG for his weight class, and I think he's still competing. I've been forgetting to ask him how it's going, but I'll ask Mike tomorrow for the purposes of this thread.
It's just good to see a second generation not rushing things, and taking time to run the Amateur gauntlet to establish his own credibility, all the way across the ocean from his Familial tie.
