It will be much like the US pull-out from Viet Nam. Once the US was out N.Vietnam invaded S.Vietnam with regular troops, and took over. US collaborators fled or were killed, millions of refugees/boat people, etc.. US military capabiliy, morale, and US diplomatic influence, etc., all down the toilet, while our enemies got more threatening - until Ronald Reagan came into the presidency and turned everything around.

Nam's a pretty bad example. The US left and they came about to modernization on their own.
