Sorry to say this, but this is a very defeatist attitude. It sounds like you lost the fight before you ever got into the octagon. You are a competitor first and foremost, and you didnt compete. You have to keep fighting and you have to believe in yourself, you never know what will happen. You could have landed a big shot or taken it to the ground eventually. It isn't because you lost a couple of exchanges and had some takedown attempts stuffed that you should give up on those things. Ryo Chonan was getting annihalated before he got Anderson Silva in that heel lock. He didnt quit, he just kept trying and he got lucky. The fact remains that you quit on the fight, and that is not in the spirit of competition.
