i still think the same thing after reading this. i thought the fight was garbage and as i said at this time last week - i thought he must have been injured and if that was the case he should have stopped the fight, not continued to run away. in a lot of ways this explanation doesnt make much sense.
he is saying on one hand that he didnt want to engage and risk getting ko'd and possibly getting injured worse than he was already, then why didnt he just use the injury as the way out of the fight. he either loses after 15 minutes or loses after breaking his foot. if he took the injury out he would have just been doing what many have done before. i cant remember any other examples of handling an injury like this.
the rest of the article is nice to read, since the stories about making a stand against the ufc didnt make much sense, especially if he was trying to keep himself in fighting. dogging any promotion like that could result in not being marketable, so i am glad to hear that stuff was all bs.
i have never liked kalib, so i am not surprised that this explanation hasnt changed anything i think about him or what happened last week. i am interested to see where he signs.
