Okay before we go any further with the speculation here, there has to be clarification on the drug in question. The Sherdog video's english subtitle says 'Rupinal', however the function and use of that particular drug doesn't seem consistent with a drug of abuse that someone would use over a long term. Rohypnol on the other hand would be fitting with Paulo's lengthy abuse and subsequent withdrawal issues.
If any of you native Portuguese speaking sherdoggers out there would like to give the video a watch and tell use exactly which word Paulo uses that'd help a lot.
