My guess is no because if you did you would no it would be a lot more cost efficiant to just buy a $100 knife from a leading quaility production knife maker like Benchmade who have all the tools the know how etc etc.
F*cking Sherdog i should have known better than to even read a knife review on hear apart from the steriod forums ive never had more stupid arguments with people i will never even see than hear. Its like the stupid answers to all the BS videos on youtube.
Yeah it would be tough for most people. I am a tool maker/ machinist at work. That meands I run mills, and lathes and surface grinders. I make tool and die out of tool steel(A2, D2) all the time. We have heat treat ovens to hardend and temper the steel. Doesnt matter what it is. If I cant put it in a mill and make it. I will take it to the laser and burn it.

I would recomend a rockwell in the low 50's for the hardness of a knife. That would make it hard enough for most jobs but not too brittle(if tempered down right).

Buying a knife for $100 would be nice yes ,but the satifaction of building it myself would be great.

I do understand what is involved. I dont think you understand I have machines available to me that most people dont. I could make it.
