Despite popular belief that The Doors' music came to be popular as a result of Jim Morrison's poetic lyrics, Morrison himself dismisses the claims in the soon to be released book "Deep Fryed: Memoirs Behind The Doors' Success."
In the chapter titled "Frye-day in the Woods", Morrison explains that he wrote down Frye's ramblings as he slept in the woods one Friday evening. The result? Only the still-popular hits "Light My Fire"; "Riders on the Storm"; and "Touch Me".
