I won $800 last night, quick 4 hour session at Bally's down on the strip. $1/$2 NL... made a few calls to pick a few guys off.
I haven't been playing as much as I normally do, just been busy with setting up the company. I called a $12 raise preflop with 35 off to the guy on the BB. He was short, only had like $55 or so to start the hand.
Flop was 9 4 6 rainbow. The guy instantly shoves all in for about $40, there was around $30 in the pot. I stood up, said I have 5 high but both of my cards are live, so I have 14 outs twice, 8 to nut. I'm getting almost 2-1 as an even money dog. I call.
Spiked a 2 for a straight. I don't care about the $4o bucks, just more interested about how my reads are. He had AK, so I was right, both cards were live and all my outs were true. I called a few big bets down with 2nd and 3rd pair that were good. I was happy with the overall session.
