I highly doubt aikido will work against someone who is on crack and looking to put 50holes in your chest. The rare instances that i think it will work is if the aikido man has put in 10-30years in his art and practiced against people really trying to cut him, not some slow randori. Maybe "O sensei" could do it, but not the normal aikido person.
Aikido may work in the case of someone holding a knife to threaten you or someone else, but not against someone who is jacked up on drugs looking to shank you prison style.
Well if you consider being stabbed 3-8times before you throw him then you could say it works. But tell me where in your body you're willing to get perforated? and if you'll still be able to throw them after being stabbed. maybe. maybe not.
