Got in contact with the promoter over in Darwin, and he sent the following email:
Hi,
The fight date has been put back to June 27. Will this be ok with you?
I have found a local guy that is keen to have his first fight as well but he will be a lot lighter. If you want to take the fight what is the lightest weight that you can get to.
There will be a boxing show in may 2nd if you are over here that you can have a look.
The guy you will be fighting will be around 105kg, but we can discuss a little more, Let me know what you think.
So essentially i have to lose 20 kilos which is ok i will get really fit, that means i will be just under 110 kgs.
The rules are as below:
- 30 sec on ground
- No elbows
- Kicks, knees and punches standing up
- Punch and knees on ground. No kicks
- No head butts
- 2 x 5min rounds
I made a mistake and thought he said elbows was ok, but since this is my first fight, elbows are not allowed, i don't know if i should turn this into a 'Warriors journey' and post my routine every day with pics or vids showing how i train leading up to this bout.
