Thiago Silva is a BJJ fighter, that's to start. But he fights with reckless abandon like he has to prove something. He has very heavy hands, but his stamina is the big question mark. We know Rashad can go a full 15 (even 25 when it comes to it) and still be fresh. We've seen Thiago gassed against Drwal and that was only mid-way through the first. He fought a very cautious Houston Alexander who did nothing that he said he was going to do. He went into the clinch and then let Thiago take the fight from there.
Personally, I like him as a fighter and I hope he beats Rashad. It'll be good to have a fighter with his potential continue to move up the rankings in a division that is beginning to thin out a bit. As the big boys continue to fall to one another, the guys who are right there will finally break through the glass ceiling and become contenders.
The winner of Rashad/Thiago should be matched up against Machida if he beats Tito
