Your intestine tract regenerates every 4-5 days by shedding epithelial cells from the villi. A colonoscopy reveals a smooth pink tube, unless some pre-existing disease is present. Nothing gets "lodged" or "stuck" or "built up" throughout your GI system, unless you have a bad case of diverticulosis, which is an outpouching of the colon.
