Back in the days when UFC first came to London, UFC (and MMA in general) videos were real hard to get hold of in the UK. Stores here had UFC 1-5 on VHS and two or three other random events.
At UFC 38 I had Dana White autograph the third page of the program where his photo and message to the fans was printed. Tito Ortiz signed the page featuring him kneeing someone in the jaw and then I saw another huge fighter walking around and asked him to sign my program. I had no idea who he was until he signed the front page of the program and wrote in capital letters underneath it:
"UFC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP"
It was Josh Barnett. I still wasn't sure who he was at this point because I couldn't read his signature!
Anyway remembering all that makes me appreciate all the access we (in the UK) have to UFC and other MMA events now.
