Joe was not scared..he was confident that he was going to go in there and take it to bj in a 5 round war. The fight was over once he was cut, because he realized that he would not be able to go 5 rounds with that..he had to change his gameplan immediately and try to finish penn, which most people know was NOT going to happen.
the cut fucked over his game plan of a 5 round fight
although i think he would have lost pretty soundly either way
