That's why the ACLU defends the KKK and neo-nazis. Not because of what they stand for. But because of the right to organize. In no way is the ACLU not against persecuting groups for legitimate crimes of extortion or violence though.
I know what you are saying and I am uneasy too with banning an ideology.The things is there are unscrupulous bastards in this world who abuse our freedoms and liberties and are cunning enough to stay just within the law.

So is it possible to take Scientology down in a court of law with rationality and reason? After all, we did have the Scopes Monkey trial which essentially prevented creationist's attempt to suppress science.
