I like Machida's style too. I love a slugfest like Chuck/Wanderlei as much as the next guy but to me there is nothing better than seeing a technician go to work. Machida is one of those guys. Everything he does is with a purpose and subtle. I don't find him to be boring at all. Another guy who people think is boring, eyt I enjoy, is Sherk. People talk about his "lay n pray" wins but I don't think thats the case. I loved his fight against Franca for example. The guy never stopped moving, trying to improve position, and passed guard on a black belt like it was nothing. Sure I would have liked to have see him be able to finish once he got side control or mount but the constant movement and progression is interesting to me. I guess I just prefer the chess match to the street fight....not that I don't like the occassional slugfest. Thats the beauty of MMA. There are so many differing styles and matchups.
