It sucked while doing them, but surprisingly, I recovered pretty quickly. While I was stiff last night, I didn't have a problem today. Thank God my legs have above average recovery ability.

Not too much man. Some BW squats, 5 or so with 135, and than a few singles of increasing weight before starting the work sets. I would also sit in the sauna for 5-10min before starting in order to get my core temp up.
