I don't really see any point to adding BCAA's to protein. Theoretically, one could argue the added Leucine might be good to increase protein synthesis, but then again I've never seen a study that utilized BOTH BCAA's and protein pre-workout stating that the BCAA's made a dramatic difference. But there's a more specific reason I addressed the situation in this thread the way I did.
The uzbekistanian up there was asking about Carnitine, which one could surmise he would want for it's use of mobilization of bodyfat. Why then would he want something fortified with calories pre-workout? That defeats the purpose of wanting to lose weight, giving the body substantial fuel such as something resembling an entire meal just before the workout. There'd be no real point.
Pre and post-workout supplementation are entirely subjective depending upon the person's goals. If your goal is to gain more size, then Madmick's formula works fine. If your goal is to lose bodyfat (you're doing a cutting cycle), there's no need to have all that shit before a workout.
Also, I'm not sure if some of you guys know but BCAA powders are typically very structurally fragile. That's why most of them recommend stirring not shaking. Put them in a blender or a shaker cup, they're as good as gone.
