Think about this haters. Sherk is in a gym like 24/7 so the odds of him or one of his training or workout partners not being educated about steroids is pretty close to zero. Deca is a very popular steroid. Sherk had to of known about how long it stays in your system. Couple this with the fact that there was very low levels (compared to people who took the steroid for performance enhancement purposes and got caught) of nandralone in his system (why would he do so little, it would have no noticeable effects other then testing positive) and it all adds up to that Sherk didn't cheat. He may have been screwed over by some supliment, screwed over by his juice dealer (maybe sherk got an unwanted mix) or he just found a way to make his body produce more nandralone, but it makes no sense that he would take the chance of testing positive for an amount of steroids that would practically make no difference. So common sense tells us that Sherk is most likely innocent of taking deca.

- Face it. He's guilty. A lot of people that workout believe things that are incorrect. So it's quite possible that Sherk doesn't know all the ins and outs. Or maybe he did the cycle a while back and figured it would be out of his system by the time of the fight because most times it is. It's possible he got tainted supplements but that's far less likely. And the fact remains, fighters must be responsible for the supplements they put in their bodies.
- The level in his system was low compared to what most others who mess up their cycle have in their system, NOT compared to clean athletes or the general population. It was 6 times the acceptable limit which itself was set quite a bit higher than most athletes would test at. Just because the level was low doesn't mean he didn't take anything or that he only took a small dose. If I drink a 12 pack and have my blood alcohol tested 12 hours later and there are just traces of alcohol in my system does that mean I didn't drink that whole 12 pack? No. Steroids are similar (though a different time frame). It doesn't all just leave your system in an instant. It's gradual. So just because he didn't test at Gracie levels doesn't mean he didn't take them.
- The ignorance he displayed about supplements in interviews is enough to refute your point that he is as knowledgable as you are claiming.

next is the shit talking about him lnping. Sherk did not stop for one second in his relentless attack on franca. He constanly worked for position while franca had to work for one desperation move after another because of Sherk constantly gaining better position. This is not the definition of lnp. Sherk never stopped working. It seems to me that the ones that say he is boring and that he lnps are either uneducated new fans or they simply are not true MMA fans and they would rather see kickboxing with small gloves.
In conclusion I think that Sherk gets way too much hate for such an amazing fighter.

Actually, that is the definition of LnPing. Sherk worked to improve his position but to do what? To lay on his opponent. Sherk clearly had the ability to control Franca. You want us to believe that a guy who you claim is "so talented" couldn't once sub an opponent who he could control for almost 25 minutes? Please. Sher has never subbed or KO'd a quality opponent. He is the very definition of a LnPer. It's a problem with the current rules that some fighters have exploited very successfully. I've trained for years and I don't see how some of the fans of LnPing think it's so techically brilliant. I think what guys like Sherk do is the biggest cop out in MMA. Sometimes guys do it standing too (ie, Arlovski vs Werdum) but we rarely see it to the same degree there. If Sherk used his wrestling to get into position and then sub his opponents that'd be great. I'd like to be a fan of his. Unfortunately he doesn't. Can't really blame him too much because the rules in the UFC and a few other orgs encourage that style of fighting, but I still prefer fighters that actually show enough talent and desire to finish their opponents by knock out or sub instead of playing it safe with the LnP.
