Leonid Taranenko ,
266.0 kg (586.4 lb)
this is the world record clean and jerk...
his best front squat was 300 kgs (660 lbs) for 3 reps and 705x1
that means not only can this person deadlift 586 with ease, he can clean it, front squat it, and push it over his head. I know Olympic lifters train balance...but one can assume
I can't find his deadlift numbers...but these guys preach balance..from interviews I have read, it doesn't seem like he cares to lift weights much higher than his competitive lift weights..
seems he believes that there is no use in dead lifting 1,000 pounds if he can't clean it.
