Some places put on a big show of security, especially if their inspected by the government, with sniper towers, razor wire and automatic weapons.. then the guy at the gate doesnt even look at the ID badge as he waves you through.
Here is another:
Network admins dont like to get off their butt. If you are at a job and the network admin wont let you install programs or access resources on your workstation, wait a while after the initial setup and find a way to corrupt a semi-vital program. After a few weeks (space out the corruptions) of being called in to do a reinstall you should get admin privileges and if you're lucky, copies of software.
Note: if your network logs file access (rare), you're at a very small company or one that does remote ghosting (big corporations) this wont work and you could get caught.
