The EMT-B is a joke, but the locals who give the P are hardasses. Also notorious for flunking all the local hospital staff during their ACLS training.
that's generally because hospital staff (nurses) don't know their asses from a hole in the ground when it comes to actual emergency treatment because they don't have to rely on themselves. They look at a doctor for what to do. Hell, it's no surprise 99% of all nurses who go through the ACLS class end up completely embarrassing themselves with their lack of knowledge. And as far as practicals go, it's the same shit, same critical criteria, same everything. just because Joe Blow in St Louis throws extra shit at you during a trauma assessment doesn't mean it's any more difficult. If you can tube, you can tube. if you can run mega code you can run mega code, if you can assess you can assess and if you have any clue about cardiology static cardio should be no problem. I fail to see the difficulty. We had the same amount of retards fail it too, that doesn't mean it's ok
