both quality battle rifles, the m1a1 is bad ass accurate and the fal, well so many nations had used it as there battle rifle parts and mags are cheap and reliable like everything else about the weapon.
The next question aside from how much you're willing to spend on optics is how much ca$h you got for shooting?
