I'm new to this forumn so don't chew me out for starting a thread on my fist post
This is in response to the recent Brock Lesnar thread claiming he is nothing more than a "Pro" wrestler.
I thought I would look up some of the notable wrestlers in MMA and compare their sucess as amateurs.
Brock Lesnar

2x Big Ten Champ.
2000 NCAA DI Champ (287 lbs.)
Randy Couture (0 national championships)
3 x Olympic team alternate
2000 semifinalist Olympic Trials
3 x All-American
2 x NCAA DI Runner up (190 lbs.)
Mark Kerr
1 x All-American
1992 NCAA DI Champ. (190 lbs. he beat Randy Couture in the champ match)
Mark Coleman
2 x Mid-American Conf. Champ
1988 NCAA DI Champ (190 lbs.)
1992 Olympics 7th place
Matt Hughes (note 0 national championships)
2 x All-American (8th, 5th, 158 lbs.)
Kevin Randleman
3 x All-American (2nd, 1st, 1st)
3 x Big Ten Champ.
2 x NCAA DI Champ 1992, 1993, 177lbs.)
Josh Koscheck
4 x All-American ( 4th, 2nd, 1st, 3rd)
2001 NCAA DI Champ. (174 lbs.)
Dan Severn
4 x All-American
Don Frye.... Trained under Severn. 0 All-Americans.

I'd say Lesnar is up to snuff.
