Self improvement. Right now it's something like "hmm, I was only able to throw that 56lbs weight 25 feet. I'm going to focus even harder in the gym just to make it go 25' 6". Getting a PR, no matter how small it is, is such a spectacular feeling of accomplishment. Hitting my goal and thinking "well, now I have to lift even more next week" makes me feel great. All things regarding staying healthy aside, I just love it.
