here we go, dont flame me to hard, i have feelings.

this forum has a powerlifting bias.

1 rep max records arnt really useful for mma, just as useful as bodybuilding, but here we have it bodybuilding being hated on and 1 rep records glorified!

pro fighters train strength and conditioning together don't they?

we need to see greater unity between this forum and the conditioning forum, the way i see it S&P has a bunch of 220lb powerlifters and their 1 rep max records, and conditioning forum is a bunch of lighter dudes working on their 100 burpee time or some noob trying to loose weight. and a few elite atheletes jumping between the 2 forums.

how many fighters follow a squat/bench/dead type routine? how often do they deadlift and squat within 80% of their 1 rep max? from my understanding they train strength and conditioning within the same circuit, whilst if you come here looking to improve strength and conditioning and take whats said in each FAQ of the different forums you are gonna end up being burnt out in no time lifting heavy 3 times a week and sprinting and burpee'ing like mad on the non-lifting days.

well thats just my opinion, unless ive misunderstood and just assumed that the training sections of the forums are about mma training.

thoughts?
