I am not sure about the differences.

Heres my sizes for HCK gis.

I am 5'10" 180lbs. Muscular build.

I bought a size 5 gi. The jacket was great, the pants were HUGE. I sent the pants back and got a size 4 pants. PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT.

For me a HCK, size 5 jacket and size 4 pants, is the best fitting gi I've ever had.

edit: if you 5'8" do not get size 5 pants. believe me, you dont want pants that you may step on. if anything you want your pants to be on the short side. Order a size 4 pants.
