I can see the obvious argrument against wraps. "Strengthen your wrists Sally." Would you say they are useful?
Also, obviously guys around here don't walk around with them on all day at the gym to look like BAMFs. So what lifts do you use them for? When you near 90% 1RM only?

Wear them. Axially loading a wrist when it's messed up is stupid. Wraps REALLY helped my wrist out. Don't listen to people who say they are "pussy".
Wear them on stuff like OHP, OHS, anything overhead, pushups, bench, anything where you're going to be loading your wrists.
