Essentially we agree, though my reasoning is a bit different. I just wanted to make the point that for female fans, the "looks" of the male fighters are important, so there shouldn't be anything wrong in the reverse situation - male fans in relation to female fighters.
Some fans of feMMA seem to think that it is entirely objectionable for any discussion about feMMAists to refer to "looks," or that such a discussion is at best a distasteful and necessary evil (which your post seemed to imply).
My view is that promotion of a fighter's looks is more than a necessary evil - it's something entirely natural to be embraced as part of smart marketing.
Though my reasoning may be different from yours, in the end, we reach the same conclusion, which is that promotion of a fighters that "look good" will inevitably be a part of feMMA (and a part of male MMA when the female fanbase grows), but that such kinds of promotion should NEVER overshadow a fighter's skill and athleticism, whether that fighter is male or female.
