im not hating on Dana. I actually like him and what's he's doing. I like that he stands up for MMA and is a great spokesman for the sport and standing up to boxing and also holding his ground against HBO. I dont like comments like he told a sports show once that everytime he sent a UFC fighter to PRIDE the UFC guys would kick their ass, which was a lie.
That's why I said love him or hate, you have to respect him. I like the fact that he calls out boxing and names names like Don King and Bob Arum for sucking that sport dry and how boxing charges $50 for 2 or 3 fights and MMA you pay $40 and you get 9 fights or so.
To the other guy, no I didnt say the Ultimate fighter show put PRIDE out. I said that the Ultimate Fighter show catapulted the UFC into top position in addition to PRIDE/DSE knocking themselves out. PRIDE made some seriously bad moves over the last few years but in my mind, they had the best events and showcases MMA has ever seen or may ever seen. I hope if PRIDE does finally go extinct that the UFC would adopt some of their showcase style like the lighting, big screens and holograms, and going from one fight straight to the next fight and not having to hear Rogan and Goldberg for mins and mins at a time between fights, etc....
