What is funny is that this guy is going around saying all of this crap about how important he was to the military, but anyone who has ever worked with a 'terp would say otherwise.
They are nothing special. All they do is go to DLI and learn X language, get attached to platoons that need someone to interpret, and basically take a backseat role in everything that happens during the mission.

Like I said, you know nothing about what you are talking about. You met a few interpreters that walk around and ask people if they wanted to drink water. I was never an interpreter. I never went to interpreter school. Interpreters can't hope of finding a translation job on the outside because they lack the necessary language proficiency. Again, I don't care how many kids you knew on the frontline. That isn't anything close to what I did. And please don't try to convince anyone you have any clue of what I've done.
