A six figure salary does not a Bill Gates make, now does it? We hire entry level folks at six after bonus. You're a piker who thinks he's a great big fish.
I will give one concession: fluency in Mandarin has real value for people involved in business around PRC, although the "lingua franca" remains English if you're representing a US concern.
