I just saw a soldier on Countdown, he says a 3% raise is 26 dollars, and another .5% is another 6 dollars. He was pissed that millions go to a faulty system (I think refering to that broken down hopsital) yet more money doesn't go to troops to support there families. He was pretty upset with this.
EDIT: I the soldier said the pay is below civilian pay and Oberman was talking fast multiplying the numbers (to put in percpective) and said that in 20 years the raise would equal 25,000.
