The Oriental Asian American magazine 'HyphenMagazine' says this white 'Vietnamese' guy co-founded Vietnamese for Fair Immigration.

"A organization calling itself Vietnamese for Fair Immigration was actually co-founded by white guy who espoused his views on Web sites and in letters to the editor while pretending to be Vietnamese, according to the Oakland Tribune"

"According to the story, some anti-immigration groups, which have overwhelmingly white memberships, are creating or backing other organizations to blunt accusations of racism. For example, Choose Black America, was created by the Federation for American Immigration Reform."

A Hispanic Immigration website has a picture of this guy.

"The spokesman, who called himself Tim Binh, initially denied that he was the cyclemaker from Lompoc, Tim Brummer. But after a reporter told him his wife identified him as Brummer, he said it was her idea.

And he feels he used the name legitimately, adding that he may make Tim Binh his legal name."

In his own words:

"I speak Vietnamese.

I eat Vietnamese food.

I live with Vietnamese.

In my mind, I'm half Vietnamese."

"First, he denied it. Then he said it was his wife's idea. Finally, white anti-immigration activist Tim Brummer admitted to using the false Vietnamese surname "Binh" in his capacity as spokesman for Vietnamese for Fair Immigration. In his defense, Brummer claimed that because he eats Vietnamese food and is half-Vietnamese "in my own mind," he wasn't really fibbing. In fact, he told a local reporter, he may even legally change his name to Binh."

"Brummer's "Vietnamese" group is not the first to try to put an ethnic face on a predominantly white anti-immigration movement trailed by whiffs of racism and tarred by accusations of extremist connections. Jim Gilchrist's Minuteman group is one of many that routinely highlight their few minority members to camouflage their overwhelmingly white membership."

according to SPLC
Tim Brummer and this so called 'Vietnamese for Fair Immigration' has posted on extremist anti-immigrant websites like SOS and the white supremacist website VDARE railing against Mexican immigrants.

SPLC article reveals how White anti immigrant groups use non whites to mask the truth.

From 'Minutemen' to 'Choose Black America' anti-immigrant groups are founded/funded by Whites who are using non whites to push their Anti-Mexican agenda. The Minutemen focus on the few non-whites they have to dispell the general feeling that they are virtually all white.

Choose Black America is actually produced by F.A.I.R

"Other groups claiming to represent specific ethnic blocs have also turned out to have connections to predominantly white parent organizations. In the case of You Don't Speak for Me! (YDSFM), a Washington, D.C.-based immigration restriction organization that describes itself as "a group of concerned Americans of Hispanic/Latino heritage," the group is so intertwined with the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) that the two share the same press officers. (There are also connections between the group and the Minuteman Project: Rosanna Pulido, 50, founded the Illinois chapter of the Minuteman Project and is also Illinois chapter leader of YDSFM.)

One of these mutual YDSFM/FAIR press contacts is Ira Mehlman, a white man who is also active in the FAIR-sponsored anti-immigration outfit, Choose Black America (CBA). Supposedly a coalition of black leaders opposed to illegal immigration, CBA, whose only press conference was orchestrated and funded by FAIR, is in fact just another FAIR product attempting to improve public perceptions of the overwhelmingly white anti-immigration movement."

"Terry Anderson, a Los Angeles radio host and anti-immigration zealot, is a key player in Choose Black America. The group is supposed to represent African-American opposition to illegal immigration, but in fact is the creation of the white-dominated Federation for American Reform, which has sought to deflect accusations of racism"

Read all the way through to the bottom on the Migra Matters website which reveals that Whites like Ira Mehlmann of Federation for American Immigration Reform and the Tanton Organiztion are the driving force/founders of these disingenous non-white anti-immigrant groups.

I think what is dumber than this guy pretending to be Vietnamese is these groups you quote that almost insinuate that if they did oppose illegal immigrants it wouldn't be racism because they aren't white, but if a white person brings it up he is racist.
