Top Contender's Punch Shield*Pics*

I've been seeing this in Ringside's sale catalog for a while now for 19.99 so I thought I'd pick one up. For 19.99 it wasn't that bad of a deal it seems. It measures 15.5" top to bottom and left to right. It's aprox 4.5" thick and is incredibly soft. Hitting this is like hitting a pillow compared to thai pads or punch mitts. On one side you have the top contender logo. That side is more rounded outwards whereas the other side has a white circle and that side is a little more sunk in. The side with the white circle is the softer side. In the middle is the circle and it gives a little bit and allows for a more soft feeling target. We tested this out a little bit with some kicks as well finding that the side without the dot works best. It is smaller than a kick shield so it's best to have someone kicking that is somewhat accurate lol. I got hit in the hand a few times. Anyways we also found that using the non white dot side is good for foot jabs as well. Provides plenty of coushin for the guy holding the shield. The handles on this shield are very soft and aren't so bad to hold while it's being battered to death. This shield would be a great idea for anyone that has a home gym and trains for fun or to stay in shape. I wouldn't recommend it to any gyms for anything other than punches since most gyms can just provide a larger shield for kicks. For 19.99 you can't really go wrong with it for fun. Here are a few pics.
