I don't know. You can get angry at Lampley all you want but what would you expect him to say ? "oh ya the sport I announce for is outdated and the matches are boring so come watch me on Friday Night Fights"
Overall this was a very positive article for MMA and the UFC. Lampley's quote was a footnote that made it sound like he and the rest of the boxing community were feeling threatened.
Which they should be.
