Squat: I would suggest that you point your feet outward enough so that you can keep your feet flat on the ground while squatting in a good parallel position. I have noticed slight pains in the inside of my knees when I point my feet out, but I think that it is a flexibility issue more than anything.

Deadlift: What you've described seems to be correct so far, and there's many types of deadlifts. Conventional, Sumo, Stiff-Legged, Romanian etc. The two most popular styles that I've seen are Conventional and Sumo. Look up some deadlifting videos on Youtube.
Do you deadlift with your arms on the inside of your knees or the outside?
Front squats: Personally, I do them like this:
They can also be performed in the clean position as well. Whichever way you choose to do them, you are really going to have to fight to keep the weight supported.
