I am an atheist because I believe that we have a responsibility to ourselves not to justify or normalize the bad things we do buy the fact that we can't help it because we are weak and need divine guidence to help us to make the right choices in life.

If youre broken fix yourself or if you see someone who is broken help them fix themselves.

I think also that knowing and accepting that after life is only decomposition frightens some and makes it hard to find meaning in this life.

Sorry, we are all just energy that gets redistributed back into the world.
