Would you say that post 9/11 most Americans are aware of the governments involvement with Bin Laden, islamic fundamentalism etc. in the past?

I think it is a very important issue which should by addressed by the government "sorry people, we fu#cked up". Correct me if they already have. I sopose they never predicted the repercussions which have occurred.
