I rolled with a guy once that had quite a few of the already listed reasons. He was a big staller that sat in my guard for five mins, he smelled a bit funny, his T-shirt was baggy so when I went for an armbar my foot got caught and he tried to force his elbows into my legs to open my guard whilst huffing, puffing and spitting.
It sucked.

Hmmm....regardless, when fighting a staller, I always went for the offence no matter how risky then. If I could do nothing, I didn't want to be there again and made sure I kept that in mind. You are there to win/work even if he doesn't want to.
Spazzes and Stallers are ALWAYS gonna be there in comp or training. ALL the time. Depends on whether you are ahead or not. And it does take effort unfortunately.
